CREA Acquires Rocky Mountain Utility Exchange
We are excited to share with you that the Colorado Rural Electric Association (CREA) has acquired the Rocky Mountain Utility Exchange brand and database. We've agreed to be advisors to Liz Fiddes and Julie Baker at CREA as they make plans to produce the 17th Exchange in September 2023 back at the Westin Riverside in Avon, Colorado. CREA will offer more details in January after previewing their plans for this year's Advisory Committee and sponsor organizations.
We are thankful that CREA will continue producing the Exchanges as we retire from the energy utility industry. And we are also thankful to all of you for all your support over the years.

Home Energy Makeover Contest Reflections
As we head into retirement, we are reflecting on our greatest joint professional achievements: - Sustainability of 16 annual Rocky Mountain Utility Exchanges; - Growth of Peak Load Management Association; and - Scaling the concept of Home Energy Makeover Contests

We Googled "home energy makeover contest" the other day, and revisited the whitepaper and presentation we produced for the European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy's 2013 Summer Study outside Nice, France. Our whitepaper documented the Contests we worked on together, primarily from Ed's vantage point at DMEA and Electric and Gas Industries Association, and Tiger's at the Building Performance Institute. For those of you who don't remember those Contests, and especially for those who do share our fond memories, you might appreciate viewing the paper and slides at the links below. Those of you leveraging activities for retrofitting homes with Inflation Reduction Act funds might want to take a look at how what's old may be new again.
