September 30, 2021Keeping the Vibe AliveWe did it! Working together, we were successful in leveraging the spirit of past in-person Exchanges for a second year in the virtual world. We've all gotten way too good at screen sharing, but as a result, everyone who presented felt comfortable sharing what they knew, and those "in the audience" weren't shy about offering their subject expertise and/or asking questions. The randomly-assigned breakout discussions felt like a casual hallway chat, as we had hoped. The presenters never had enough time to cover topics in sufficient detail, but that's the Exchange's "secret sauce." Most left the sessions wanting to know more and confident that we had matched them with peers who had answers or, at the very least, those with similar questions or concerns. For those who missed participating, this year's content was presented over four half-days with eight 90-minute online exchanges that included brief prepared remarks, interactive discussion in smaller breakouts, and then a larger group conversation with all participants. If you haven't already, take a moment to watch this video where the session facilitators discuss their topic area. Over 170 people from energy utilities, government agencies, solution providers, and other industry allies registered for the 15th Rocky Mountain Utility Exchange. See who connected at www.utilityexchange.org/15th-exchange-look-whos-connecting. Thanks again to all those who made this year's theme the most appropriate ever: "We're Changing! Come Change With Us!"
