August 17, 2021You Gotta Be There – No Recordings! Our unofficial motto from past in-person events was "Share, Not Stare" because so much networking and learning happened in the small group discussion in the hallway and during mealtimes. This is much tougher to do during online meetings. To keep things candid, none of the sessions will be recorded. This means registrants must participate "live" online because only copies of the presentation slides will be provided afterwards. That's the way it has been for our in-person events and the Advisory Committee is convinced that this is a primary value to be sure everyone feels comfortable candidly sharing their perspectives knowing that "what happens at the Exchange STAYS at the Exchange." It's this sort of "peer matching" that has kept the camraderie so strong from year to year. This year's virtual-only agenda over four half-days will include eight 90-minute online exchanges with brief prepared remarks, interactive discussion in smaller breakouts, and then a larger group conversation with all participants. This will make more work for the session facilitators to keep the conversation moving, but the Advisory Committee believe this will be a better method to maintain the event's spirit and momentum. If you haven't already, take a moment to watch this video where each session facilitators discusses their topic. Over 100 people from energy utilities, government agencies, solution providers, and other industry allies have already registered for the 15th Rocky Mountain Utility Exchange. See who is connecting at www.utilityexchange.org/15th-exchange-look-whos-connecting. We're continuing to make this annual event an exciting place to network and learn. And we're honoring this year's theme: "We're Changing! Come Change With Us!"
