The agenda is now published for the sessions to be presented live online at the 15th Rocky Mountain Utility Exchange on Sept. 21 - Sept. 24, 2021. There will be eight 90-minute sessions presented live over 4 days. Session Topics will include:

  • Silo-Busting Collaboration, Partnership, and Innovation Development
  • Equity and Income-Qualified Program Considerations
  • Consumer Engagement with Communication Strategies and Tactics That Work
  • Energy Efficiency: Swipe Right or Left
  • Electric Vehicles: Driving Change in the Utility
  • Beneficial Electrification as a Paradigm Shift
  • Distributed Energy Resources: Feeling unDER the Stress
  • Evolution of Utility Leadership in Business Models/Markets

The agenda format has been adjusted to encourage online interaction. Each session will follow this format:

  • Presentations: up to three 15-minute live case study presentations related to a central topic. Attendees will be encouraged to type questions/issues in chat for further discussion
  • Breakout Groups: up to 30 minutes of breakout group discussion with randomly-assigned attendees facilitated by session presenters. Attendees will be encouraged to add their perspective and explore common challenges/opportunities related to the topic
  • Wrap-up Discussion: up to 15 minutes to reconvene the full group to allow session presenters to report-out on key takeaways from the breakout discussion and respond to insights shared in the typed chat throughout the session.

Agenda Developed by Advisory Committee

The Rocky Mountain Utility Exchange is a networking and professional development forum for utility and government organization staff as well as industry allies who provide products and services to support utility customer programs. The target audience is the staff of energy utilities serving Colorado and neighboring states who are responsible for the design and delivery of customer-centric utility programs, including resource efficiency/sustainability, load management/growth, distributed energy, and customer/member service operations. The agenda is developed from submissions through a call for presenters that are reviewed by the Advisory Committee. Committee members serve as the session facilitators.
